Respect in the Workplace, is an on-line training and risk-management program developed to provide any size organization with abuse prevention education for all employees.  Respect in the Workplace is an on-line educational program, developed in partnership with the Canadian Red Cross, which empowers all employees to understand the effects of discrimination, harassment and workplace bullying, how to recognize these harmful behaviours and what to do about them whether you are the victim, aggressor, witness or bystander. Respect in the Workplace is a fully outsourced solution available to any organization interested in protecting the interests of its’ employees, clients and the organization as a whole.

Respect in the Workplace was founded on the following beliefs:

  • A safe and welcoming working environment is crtical to the health and productivity of any organization
  • 99% of all personnel are good people wanting to do the right thing
  • Only a fraction of personnel in most organizations have received any formal training in the areas of bullying, harassment and discrimination
  • Empowering training, not a stick, is the key to creating a values-based environment
  • Training must be simple, convenient, easy to access, and affordable
  • Organizations need to outsource these issues
  • All organizations should be able to use one solution to educate their management, employees and other corporate stakeholders

Respect in the Workplace uses innovative instructional design techniques to provide an internet-based training experience that is simple, to the point and captivating for the learner. It offers full database capabilities for user access and certification and is designed to be widely accessible for all users regardless of location or speed of the internet connection. In contrast to traditional classroom training, Respect in the Workplace takes less than half the time, is available at the users’ convenience and gives a consistent, up to date message on behalf of the host organization.
